Every year at Easter in the Vaucluse, nature awakens under the gentle rays of the Spring sun, and like her, in the heart of the Vaucluse, our corner of Provençal life sparkles with life as the fine weather arrives!

The surrounding nature offers exceptional walks, while in town the terraces and boutiques unfold their charms...
And from the time of the Foire Internationale à l'Art et à l'antiquité de L'Isle sur la Sorgue, the calendar of events around our guest house is filling up more and more. If you're looking for a lively weekend or a sunny, festive spring vacation, L'Oréliane is the place to come, because we're sure you'll find what you're looking for!

Tempted but still need convincing? Here are a few ideas of things to see and do when you come to Châteauneuf de Gadagne in April:

Antiques at the Art & You Fair in Isle sur la Sorgue
Foire internationale Arts et Antiquités de L'Isle sur la Sorgue - L'Oréliane à Chateauneuf de Gadagne
For 4 days over the Easter weekend, the Comtadine Venice welcomes more than 150 exhibitors, in addition to the 250 stores in town that are open all year round. All styles and eras are on offer: contemporary art and design, antiques, decorative objects, old books... Music, entertainment and various exhibitions are all part of the Fair. It's a really great time!

Take part in the all-new "Old Recipes" Festival at the Fair!

During the Foire de l'Isle, each partner restaurant offers a Provencal recipe for lunch and dinner. It's a great opportunity to discover local products and, more generally, Provençal gastronomy. You can even vote for the best recipe.
For more information on this event, visit their website here: les vieilles recettes

You can also get in touch with the L'Isle sur la Sorgue tourist office, which will be able to tell you what to do during the Fair in L'Isle and the surrounding area.

  • Soak up the sun on the terraces of the local restaurants.

Whether in Avignon, the beautiful UNESCO papal city, in L'Isle sur la Sorgue and its pretty river arms, or in the many magnificent little villages of the Vaucluse (starting with our own, Gadagne), it's always a pleasure to share a good meal outdoors!
These terraces are also ideal for a coffee or an aperitif. You know, lounging in the sun, taking the time to live and chat... There's nothing more Provençal!

  • Visit the hilltop villages of the Luberon and discover the conservatory garden of dye plants at the Château de Lauris.

Spring is the ideal season for this: the best-known villages such as Gordes, Ménerbes or Roussillon and its ochre soils are not yet besieged by crowds... And what could be better than Spring for a stroll in the gardens? There are several to discover around here, but in the Luberon, you can't miss those at Château de Lauris. They boast a collection of over 250 species. It's a truly splendid place, so don't hesitate.

  • Burn calories the easy way on the Plat Pays des Sorgues bike routes!
faire du vélo au pays des Sorgues - L'Oréliane à Châteauneuf de Gadagne
In winter, we all tend to put on a bit of weight, don't we? So it's the perfect opportunity to combine a walk with a gentle workout.
Indeed, our region, the Pays des Sorgues, is rather flat, which makes walks easy and very pleasant. The only exception is our hilltop village, whose summit at the Plateau Campbeau can only be reached by bike. But there are two rewards once you're up there: firstly, a splendid view of Mont Ventoux and the surrounding area, and secondly, the chance to taste our wine at one of the estates in the Côtes du Rhône village gadagne appellation. As you'll be leaving by bike anyway... it would be a shame to miss out.

And while we're on the subject of bikes, here's a "little" bonus! Well... a rather "giant" bonus...

  • Sunset on Mont Ventoux, the Giant of Provence.
Coucher de soleil au Mont Ventoux - L’Oréliane à Chateauneuf de Gadagne
If you're a keen cyclist, you can make the ascent by bike, but in spring, the pass is reopened, so you can drive right up to it! From up there, you can see the whole region in a single glance, all the way to the Alps! In spring, the view is just fantastic. Before or after your ascent, you can take a stroll in the surrounding area. The Ventoux is the latest of our regional nature parks. Its discovery is full of promise... just like spring.

Whatever you choose to do on your trip here, you'll return to your everyday life feeling refreshed and ready to take on the world! L'Oréliane is the ideal place for a successful spring getaway in Provence! We look forward to welcoming you.
