After a good night's sleep in the peace and quiet of our Maison d'Hôtes, what could be more pleasant than to take advantage of the singing Provencal mornings to indulge your sweet tooth at breakfast? At L'Oréliane, we put it together with love and care...
Here at L'Oréliane in Provence, we prepare a copious, complete and varied breakfast to make this a special moment during which, we hope, you will enjoy yourself while filling up on energy... An essential energy to get your day of walks and visits under the southern sun off to the best possible start!
As with all Chambres d'Hôtes, breakfast is always included in the price of your overnight stay. It's a big difference from hotels, a bigger "not so little" that we take great care to ensure.
We serve breakfast from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. Sometimes earlier, for professionals, if you ask us in advance and it's possible.
In summer, breakfast is served in the garden on individual tables, where you can enjoy the fresh air, morning breeze and birdsong.
In winter or when the weather is bad, you can share it indoors, on a large communal table in the spirit of the Maison de Famille, for more conviviality. In winter or in bad weather, you can share it indoors, on a large communal table, in the spirit of a family home, for more conviviality. In the absence of summer heat, it's with beautiful smiles and pleasant exchanges that you'll warm your heart!

On the table, we offer as many local and organic products as possible:
- Our fruit juices with no added sugar are carefully made locally by Amélie and Nicolas Bourdelin.
- La Fougasse, in Le Thor, our pretty neighbouring village.
- For our Ethiopian coffee and chocolate, we buy from the Etienne roaster.
- The tea is always organic and/or fair trade, from brands such as Clipper, Destinations, Yogi and Panda tea.
- We make our own infusions using verbena and mint from our guest house garden.
- The compotes are also homemade, using apples from our friends in Le Thor.
- The jams are all homemade, using fruit that we harvest ourselves or that comes from our farmer friends.
- We make our muscatel jelly with grapes from our garden: Dominique was a winemaker before he welcomed you... Grapes are a 'family passion' that we owe it to ourselves to have in the garden!
- The yoghurts are also home-made and organic.
- The cakes are also homemade, using quality products of course (organic and wholemeal flours, organic eggs, etc.).
- We buy our eggs, goat's cheese and dried fruit at the market, and it's all organic!
The Provencal market... Smells, scents, it's all Provence in one place (we'll be happy to recommend some of them to you). - Christine is the Queen of Granola: homemade, with love, using quality organic produce.

- The bread comes from the baker in our village, Chateauneuf de Gadagne. Sometimes, when we can, we buy from La Croute Céleste in Robion, a highly reputed place at the foot of the Luberon.
- We buy the pastries from Roubi, which serves the hotel and restaurant trade, and bake them hot and crisp just before you sit down to eat.
We serve breakfast in antique crockery, most of it Digoin Sarreguemines, found here and there... An activity that we appreciate, and one that's easy to do when you live in the Vaucluse, just a few kilometres from one of the world's most famous places for second-hand goods and antiques!
After London and Saint Ouen, L'Isle sur la Sorgue is Europe's third largest antiques centre... And yes, we're lucky to live just a few kilometres from the Venice of Comtadine (a must-see!) and we're not going to miss out on any of it.
For more information on this activity, visit the L'Isle sur la Sorgue Tourisme website: https://islesurlasorguetourisme.com/antiquites-et-design
Bargain hunt... It's an activity that has enabled us to find many of the treasures that furnish and decorate our guest rooms...
Read the article we devoted to them: Les chambres de l'Oréliane.
What about brunch?
In winter, we suggest that you take time out for brunch (on request).
At L'Oréliane, we think of it as an extensive breakfast, with more savoury products than in our classic breakfast.
We try to vary it regularly but keep a few constants, like the "Avocado and Smoked Trout from Isle sur la Sorgue" bruschetta. It would be sacrilege to replace such a tasty, high-quality local speciality!
In general, in bed and breakfast establishments, and in particular here at L'Oréliane, breakfast is a time of conviviality and sharing that we love. Gentle conversation and smiles cheer up this moment of pleasure.
But if you prefer more intimate mornings and quieter wake-ups, just let us know.
Your satisfaction is our satisfaction!
Finally, so that we can adapt to your needs, whether for breakfast, brunch or our platters, please let us know in advance if you have any dietary intolerances or restrictions.
Of course, if it's still necessary to specify, you should know that everything we offer you to eat is cooked in compliance with health regulations.
We look forward to sharing our Provençal mornings together!
Christine and Dominique.
