In autumn, L'Oréliane welcomes you to the heart of sweet Provence for the Foire de la Toussaint & Halloween. At the end of October, you'll have every reason to come to Châteauneuf-de-Gadagne, in the heart of the Vaucluse and thus of Provence.
In a few weeks' time, at the end of October, believe us, you'll have every reason to stay at our Guest house in Provence. But not just any Provence, the one that's alive and kicking, that gives you plenty to see and do, as well as offering you the most pleasant surroundings. Among the reasons to come to our pretty corner of Provence in the heart of autumn, three of them strike us as... IMPERAUS!
So here are our 3 GOOD REASONS TO STAY AT L'ORELIANE AT THE END OF OCTOBER!
So here are our 3 GOOD REASONS TO STAY AT L'ORELIANE AT THE END OF OCTOBER!
- IMPERATIVE REASON NUMBER 1: the nature and climate of autumn in Provence, so pleasant!
Renowned for its pleasant climate and colorful landscapes, Provence in autumn promises a peaceful, rejuvenating stay. A warm and welcome getaway, ideal for tackling the rigors of YOUR winter with vigor (yes, yours, because here at Gadagne, in sunny Provence, winter... is not harsh! Or very little...).
In autumn, nature in Provence is simply magnificent, and the earth is as rich as it is beautiful. You can appreciate its beauty in complete tranquillity, and feast on the many local produce it has to offer. At this time of year, we're "savoring" our Provence, thanks to many beautiful sunny days!
No doubt inspired by his many stays here in Provence (L'isle, due to his friendship with René char, the Luberon, the Ventoux...) Albert Camus wrote: “Autumn is a second spring where each leaf is a flower". We couldn't have said it better ourselves! Camus... remains Camus, a talented writer!
IMPERATIVE REASON NUMBER 2: The antique fair Art and You - October 29 to November 1 - Free admission
Traditionally held in August, it has been decided to make this an autumn edition, definitively replacing the August event.
The Isle sur la Sorgue Fair will now always take place on All Saints' Day, and this year the 113th Foire Internationale will be held from October 29th to November 1st (9am to 7pm).
A unique Fair in one of the most beautiful corners of Provence (it goes without saying!), where you can discover the treasures of several hundred second-hand and antique dealers.
What a pleasure it is to stroll around and hunt for objects of all styles, from brocante to antiques, from design to vintage, and including contemporary art... It's easy to become enchanted by the charming atmosphere of the town center, with its pleasant strolls and marvelous finds. We just love it! Our Guest house and its rooms have been largely furnished and decorated thanks to the fantastic finds we made there! Numerous events punctuate these wonderful days dedicated to exceptional objects, and the organizers promise us "new ways to enhance this event"... We can't wait!
In L'isle sur Sorgue, "Antiques Art and You" takes place twice a year, in spring and autumn, around the weekends of Easter and All Saints' Day! It brings together over 300 professional exhibitors, not to mention the 250 antique, art and decoration stores in this pretty little town.

IMPERATIVE REASON NUMBER 3: Halloween in L'isle sur la Sorgue - October 29 to November 1.
Following the success of last year's event, the pretty Comtadine town of L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is celebrating Halloween again at the end of the month. A rich program of entertainment of all kinds and a town center decorated for the occasion in the colors of this traditional Celtic festival. And yes, "Halloween" was born in Europe a long time ago! A tradition gradually lost here... but saved from oblivion by Europeans exiled in the USA.
On the program for these festive days in L'isle sur Sorgue: themed music, ghostly mini-train, pumpkin sales, face-painting workshops, wanderings, ghost and candy hunts... You can also take part in themed tours with a tour guide: Halloween tours in L'isle sur la Sorgue!
