All seasons have their charm here, but for us, spring is undoubtedly the best season for a getaway at L'Oréliane, in the heart of Vaucluse and Provence.

It's a time of beautiful days and pleasant temperatures, ideal for strolling, enjoying the terraces and taking our first sunbaths. Nature is also very generous, allowing us to marvel at its fantastic landscapes and feast on tasty fruits and vegetables.

Here are some of our favorite things to do in spring in Provence.

  1. Admire the fields of poppies
When the poppies are here, spring is here! May and June bring a multitude of wild flowers.
The profusion of poppies at this time of year is striking! As soon as we hit the road, whatever our destination for the day, we come across poppies popping up all over the place. Like us, you'll probably never tire of admiring these pretty flowers, whose bright red in the gentle spring sunshine contrasts sharply with the blue sky.

  1. Make way for Farniente
  • The real thing, Farniente as we do it in Provence, always in an enchanting setting, which doubles the pleasure. For an idle moment in complete tranquillity, there are several possibilities:

- Farniente in the shade of an alder tree on the banks of the Sorgue, our marvellous river renowned for its beauty.
- Farniente on the heights of our hilltop village, in the tree-lined Parc de l'Arbousiere, which offers a fantastic view over the whole region (protected wooded area).
- Farniente in the shade of a plane tree on the soft grass of the fields and flowery meadows that can be found all over the area.
